Perfect Peace

"And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. He will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in God. Trust in the Lord...the rock eternal." Philippians 4:7 and Isaiah 26:3-4. In 2001, 9/11 shook the foundation of the American people. In response to the events and feelings of that time I wanted to paint a reassuring and positive answer to the pain of our trials and tribulations. As we stand on the Rock, in the light of His love, He fills us. As we keep our eyes fixed on Him, and shrouded in prayer, He comes to us, calming the waters and bringing His incredible, profound peace.
